Role description

We are looking for professionals with relevant expertise in the business development domain and a flare for sales. Experience in areas of digital media sales, advertising sales, digital marketing and account management would be a plus point.

The ideal candidate would be confident and self-motivated to take ownership of the entire sales process from lead generation, prospecting, analysis, creating pitches, presentations and proposals to negotiating contracts, coordinating meetings & following up with clients to ensure timely implementation of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • You should be a creative person who has an understanding of digital content and is able to think across platforms and mediums like native content, display-ads, video-branding.
  • Must be familiar with display sales models and web-based native content sales.
  • Good at conceptualizing ideas to marry brand and content.
  • You need to know how to build relations and use them to acquire new clients.
  • Manage Client Servicing (pre & post sales execution) for all and prospective clients.
  • Create presentations and pitches for sales to pitch to key clients.
  • Working with the editorial, marketing, and branding teams to build customized packages for clients.
  • Should be able to develop ideas and strategies for branded content pieces for Inc42 clients.
  • Should be able to pitch these ideas and close the prospective clients when required.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Around 2 years of digital media sales, agency or account management experience needed.
  • Solid understanding of the sales cycle in media/digital marketing/events industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power-point & Word) & basic online tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills – this is a deal breaker.


Education

Candidates from all disciplines are welcome to apply. Personality and past experience are the dominant parameters for this role. Freshers who have a zeal to work in media startups can also be considered.
